‘’This tweet underrated,’’ Davido Says As He Shares Tweet Which Cited Desmond Elliot As Example Of A Youth Being President And Failing Nigeria

In what seemed like a callout to Nollywood actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, superstar musician, Davido,  retweeted a tweet which stated that  Desmond Elliot is proof that a youth could be president of Nigeria and still fail to lead the country to progress. David in his caption said ‘’this tweet underrated.’’ Davido’s tweet is coming at a period when Nigerians are clamouring for change especially the youth population.

Meanwhile, Desmond Elliot has been subject to criticism from socialites and media personalities in recent times. The Nollywood star had to defend himself from a claim from Dr. Olufunmilayo, a top notch social media commentator in Nigeria, which says he is in support of a bill aimed at regulating free speech on social media in the Lagos State Assembly. Replying to Dr. Olufunmilayo’s claim, Desmond Elliot stated there is no such bill in the Lagos State Assembly, described the allegation as unfounded, and educated the socialite on the fact that no state house of assembly in Nigeria has the power to move such bill.

Desmond Elliot represents the Surulere constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
