Beninese singer and actress Angelique Kidjo is poised to make history as the first African musician honored with a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame, representing a monumental milestone for the continent’s musical representation.
The July 2, 2025 announcement positioned Kidjo among 36 distinguished recipients, including Grammy-celebrated artists Miley Cyrus, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Lyle Lovett.
