Juventus of Italy and Portuguese international football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, made history on Sunday night (January 3, 2021) after beating Brazilian legend, Pele, to become the second-highest goal scorer in football history. Ronaldo scored twice in Juventus’4-1 victory over Udinese in the Italian Serie A to climb to second on football’s highest goal scorers chart with 758 goals.
The Portuguese national team captain is second behind Josef Bican who tops the chart with just a goal (759). Ronaldo’s long-term rival, Lionel Messi, has scored a total of 742 goals as the world looks towards seeing both stars eclipse Pele and Bican. Ronaldo, on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, will be looking forward to top the chart when Juve travel to San Siro to square-off against table toppers, AC Milan.
