Schools in Lagos State below the level of tertiary education are set to remain closed until further notice. This information was revealed through a statement issued by Mr. Kayode Abayomi, the Head of Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Education.
Schools were initially scheduled to resume on January 4, 2021, but the state government has cited the second wave of the corona virus pandemic as a major factor behind its resolve to temporarily shutdown schools.
Mr. Abayomi who also disclosed that a new date for resumption will be communicated in due course, urged parents and students to strictly adhere to safety protocols issued by the government to curb the spread of the virus in the nation.
