Taylor Swift joined the billionaire list after the success of her Eras Tour.
Singer Taylor Swift is officially a billionaire after making the recently released Forbes billionaire list.
Swift, who is the newest comer on the Forbes 2024 billionaire list released on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, ranked in 14th place with a fortune estimated at $1.1 billion.
Earnings from her Eras tour, music catalogue value, and real estate portfolio, saw the 34-year-old pop star join the list of billionaires around the globe.
Taylor Swift’s achievement is remarkable as she is among a few entertainers that have attained billionaire status “through music and performing alone.”
According to a 2023 year-end chart released by Pollstar, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is the first music tour to hit the billionaire mark.
Apart from the fact that the Eras Tour was the number one tour in the world especially in North America, ticket sales raked in a whopping $1.04 billion (£831.6 million). A total of 4.35 million tickets were sold across 60 tour dates.

Taylor Swift could not hide her excitement during the tour, as she disclosed that she “always had fun doing this.”
“I can’t believe I get to do music as a career. That’s crazy.
“I’ve always had so much fun doing it. I’ve never had this much fun in my life as I have had on the Eras Tour.
“It is far and away just the most electric experience of my life.”
She now joins the likes of Jay Z, who are on the world billionaire list as entertainers.
