Former senator and politician, Bode Olowoporoku has passed on.
The senator who was born on September 29, 1945 is reported to have died in Ilawe Ekiti, on Wednesday after a brief illness.Â
The politician represented Ekiti South Senatorial District between 2003 and 2007 as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).Â
He was also the Minister of State for Science and Technology (1979 to1981).
Olowoporoku was believed to have played an active role in the creation of Ekiti State in 1996 and he contested in the 2018 governorship election in the state.
