The Nigerian film industry was thrown into mourning on Saturday, January 9, 2021, after the news of the demise of veteran actor, Jim Lawson Maduike, was made public. Jim Lawson who joined Nollywood in 2004 and has featured in numerous movies, complained of body pains at about 12pm on Saturday before giving up the ghost. Until his death, the actor who hails from Imo State, was also a writer, radio broadcaster, television personality, voice-over artist, and filmmaker.
