Aisha Buhari’s Twitter Account Deactivated

Following the government’s ban on Twitter in Nigeria, the official account of Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari, has been deactivated. Search results for the first lady’s account shows that it does not exist.

Despite ordering the ban on Twitter, Buhari’s account is still active.

It will be recalled that after the ban on Twitter on Friday, the first lady tweeted that she would be deactivating her account. She said: ”I will be deactivating my twitter account for now. Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
