Nigeria’s Former Finance Minister and current Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has made it to the cover of TIME Magazine.
The WTO DG was also recognised as one of the world’s top 100 most influential people in 2021.
She is said to be featured on the magazine, alongside icons, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Reacting to this honour, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala took to twitter to express her joy.
She tweeted:
“Honored and privileged to be on the cover of Time Magazine and to be recognised as one of the world’s most influential leaders! Profound thanks to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for their kind words. All Glory to God!”
Her former presidential assistant, Reno Omokri, also took to his social media handle to congratulate her on the new development.
He wrote:
“Congratulations to my dear friend, @NOIweala, for once again making the @TIME Magazine 100 most influential people of 2021.
“Not only did Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala make the list, she is also on the cover of the latest issue of Time. My family and I are proud of you!”
