Trump says Putin has changed so much/Reuters
Trump is not impressed with Putin and Zelenskiy and has threatened further sanctions against Russia.
President Donald Trump characterized Russian leader Vladimir Putin as having “gone absolutely CRAZY” in response to Russia’s most extensive aerial bombardment of Ukraine during the conflict.
Trump indicated he is weighing the implementation of further sanctions against Russia while also expressing criticism toward Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
In a Truth Social post, Trump expressed bewilderment about Putin’s behavior, stating “Something has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!”
The U.S. President also directed criticism at Zelenskiy, writing that the Ukrainian president “is doing his Country no favours by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don’t like it, and it better stop.”

During comments to media representatives at Morristown airport in New Jersey, Trump reiterated his concerns about Putin’s actions: “I don’t know what’s wrong with him. What the hell happened to him? Right? He’s killing a lot of people. I’m not happy about that.”
Trump indicated that additional sanctions against Russia could be forthcoming as a response to the continued military strikes.
Neither the Kremlin nor Zelenskiy’s office provided immediate reactions to Trump’s statements.
The massive Russian offensive involved at least 367 drones and missiles targeting Ukrainian cities and infrastructure during Sunday night’s assault. The attack resulted in a minimum of 12 fatalities, including three children in Zhytomyr’s northern region, according to Ukrainian authorities.
While this Russian strike represents the war’s largest in terms of weaponry deployed, other attacks have resulted in higher casualty counts.
Trump has been advocating for both Russia and Ukraine to conclude the conflict that has persisted for over three years. However, the opposing parties maintain significant differences in their positions.
As diplomatic discussions continue among major nations, the warfare has actually escalated, with Russian military forces making territorial gains in Ukraine’s eastern regions.
Both combatants are deploying large numbers of drones while intense combat continues across critical frontline areas.
Moscow maintains that it is executing what it terms a “special military operation” in Ukraine to safeguard Russia against NATO’s expansion toward its frontiers. Ukraine contends that Russia initiated an unprovoked aggressive war.
