Rapper Megan Thee Stallion was rushed to hospital during her performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York on Tuesday night, according to her representative.
“Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated,” the spokesperson told media outlets.
“We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”
The 31-year-old musician is currently playing Zidler — the show’s flamboyant master of ceremonies — in what marks her much-anticipated Broadway debut.
Her hair stylist, Kellon Deryck, also took to X to ask for support, writing: “Everyone say a prayer for Megan, we are all at the hospital.”

Born Megan Pete, the rapper is scheduled to remain in the Zidler role until 17 May, per the Moulin Rouge website.
Ahead of her opening night, she spoke enthusiastically about swapping concert stages for the theatre.
Following her debut performance on 24 March, she celebrated on social media, writing: ‘HOTTIES IM ON BROADWAY!!’ — a nod to her devoted fanbase, known as the “hotties.”
The Grammy-winning artist is widely recognised for chart-topping tracks including Savage, WAP, and Body.
In 2021, she took home three Grammy Awards — Best Rap Song, Best New Artist, and Best Rap Performance — and the following year received a nomination for Album of the Year.
The role of Harold Zidler was originated on Broadway by Danny Burstein, who earned a Tony Award for the performance in 2020.
More recently, celebrity drag artist Bob the Drag Queen stepped into the role for an eight-week run earlier this year.
