First Lady Remi Tinubu wants a second term for President Tinubu
Remi Tinubu says she hopes to leave the Villa in 2031 for a Nigeria she can enjoy.
First Lady, Remi Tinubu, says she hopes to step out of the Presidential Villa in 2031 into a country she can comfortably enjoy in her seventies.
Speaking on Friday, October 23, at the official inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement‘s Abuja headquarters, the first lady shared her hopes for the country’s future.
“I want to leave Aso Rock, in 2031, by the grace of God, and enter a Nigeria that me as a 70-something-year-old woman will enjoy,” she said.

In a lighthearted moment, she brushed aside critics who insist that little real progress has been made.
She pointed to “JigiBola,” an eye-care programme started while her husband was Governor of Lagos State.
“So things are happening in Nigeria, except, you know, those who don’t see; maybe we’ll give them some, you know, Bola Tinubu eyeglasses. We are doing that, JigiBola,” she stated.
