Omotola believes that filmmakers must use other means to promote their productions/Lionscrib
Omotola believes that dancing on social media should not be the main strategy for promoting movies.
Renowned Nollywood star Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has openly addressed the increasing expectation for actors to use dance videos on social media as a promotional strategy for films.
During a recent interview, Omotola clearly stated her position: despite enjoying dancing, she refuses to do it as a mandatory marketing tactic.
She emphasized that the issue lies not in the act of dancing, but in the motivation behind it.

Omotola clarified that dancing should stem from authentic enjoyment rather than serving as an obligatory promotional mechanism.
When it becomes a forced requirement or duty, she argues, it undermines professionalism.
The actress emphasized that her professional role centers on acting and promoting projects through traditional means like interviews and discussions, whereas marketing and distribution responsibilities belong to dedicated professionals in those fields.
“I already did the project,” she suggested, arguing that expecting creative professionals to engage in additional promotional gimmicks for visibility represents a flawed approach to how the industry should operate.
