New Iranian Leader Mojtaba is believed to be in dire health condition/Lionscrib
New Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei succeeded his father who was assassinated during a joint US-Israeli airstrike.
The Israel Defense Forces have announced the destruction of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s personal aircraft, while separate reports suggest his son and successor, Mojtaba Khamenei, has traveled to Moscow to receive treatment for what are described as severe injuries.
In a Monday morning post on X, the IDF stated that the aircraft, struck at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport, had been routinely used by Ali Khamenei and other top regime officials to facilitate arms procurement and maintain communication with allied nations via both domestic and international flights.
‘The destruction of this plane damages the Iranian terrorist regime’s leadership coordination capabilities with the Axis countries, the process of strengthening military capabilities, and the regime’s ability to rebuild,’ the statement read.
Emerging reports further indicate that Mojtaba, the late supreme leader’s son, is currently in Moscow undergoing treatment for wounds sustained during a joint US-Israeli airstrike.
Mojtaba, 56, assumed leadership following his father Ali Khamenei’s assassination on February 28, though multiple reports have suggested he has remained in a coma since taking power.
According to Kuwaiti publication Al-Jarida, his condition necessitated a trip to Russia for a surgical procedure that was personally offered by President Putin.
The operation to transport the newly appointed Ayatollah out of Iran was reportedly conducted in utmost secrecy, with Mojtaba boarding a Russian military aircraft before being taken to one of Putin‘s presidential residences, where he subsequently underwent what is described as a successful surgery.
While the report has yet to be independently verified, Al-Jarida states its information came from a source described as a ‘high-ranking source close to the new Iranian Supreme Leader.’
The source added that Mojtaba was wounded during the early stages of America’s Operation Epic Fury and that his injuries could not adequately be addressed within Iran, given the country’s ongoing exposure to US and Israeli strikes.
It remains unclear whether Mojtaba’s injuries were sustained in the same attacks that claimed the life of his 86-year-old father.
In a separate account, a source previously communicated with The Sun via encrypted messages sent to an exiled dissident living in London, describing the new leader’s condition as dire.
‘One or two of his legs have been cut off. His liver or stomach has also ruptured. He is apparently in a coma as well,’ they added.
The source, who requested anonymity citing fears for their personal safety, indicated that Mojtaba is under the supervision of Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi — Iran’s Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education and one of the nation’s foremost trauma specialists.
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth addressed the matter on Friday, stating his belief that Mojtaba has indeed been wounded.
‘We know the new so-called, not-so-supreme leader is wounded and likely disfigured,’ Hegseth told a press conference.
