The hopes of having Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi reignite their rivalry in today’s UEFA Champions League clash between Barcelona and Juventus were dashed after the Portuguese national team captain tested positive for corona virus for the third time on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
Juventus were hoping their star man would be available for selection on Wednesday night despite testing positive for the virus on the second occasion last week, but they will now have to rely on the likes of Alvaro Morata to get the goals at the Allianz Stadium. Ronaldo tested positive for COVID-19 while on international duty with Portugal on October 13.
