Tiwa Savage Was Almost Slapped By Fans At The Beach

Nigerian singer, Tiwatope Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has revealed how expensive and risky it is to go out as a celebrity without security in Nigeria.

The music star made this known following the encounter she had with some fans at a beach in Lagos state. According to the multi award-winning star, she was approached by some fans, hailing her at the beach, and awkwardly demanding money from her.

Tiwa, 41, admitted she made a mistake by going to the beach without security personnel. She also disclosed that she visited the beach with small cash and was almost slapped when fans demanded for money.

The mother of one narrated that she was at the beach for a boat cruise when the incident happened and she had to be calm to handle the situation.

In a post on her Instagram page, the superstar wrote: “One day I do mistake go beach without security and small cash, omo I nearly chop slap that day.”

A video had earlier surfaced online where Tiwa was seen at the beach and some fans were hailing her. The singer decided to spray them some cash and some of the fans were seen jumping inside the river in a bid to pick the 200 notes she sprayed on them. Tiwa and her crew had to advise the fans against jumping inside the river.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that Tiwa would be attacked. She has always been a victim of online attacks. The recent of such attacks was October last year when her sex tape was leaked. Many of her followers called her unprintable names and even threatened to attack her if they had the opportunity to see her physically.
