Buhari also hailed the efforts made by Nigeria’s Armed Forces in fighting insecurity.
President Muhammadu Buhari has reassured Nigerians of his administration’s commitment towards leaving a safer country when he hands over power in 2023.
Buhari made his remarks on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, during the Emblem Appeal Launch for the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration.
The President, who also made a N10 million donation to the appeal fund, urged every Nigerian including corporate organizations to support veterans and families of the country’s fallen heroes whose sacrifices has ensured the country waxes stronger.
Buhari hailed Nigeria’s Armed Forces for their efforts towards making the country safer, and assured his administration’s continuous support and funding for their operations.
In attendance for the event which took place after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, were some senior government officials such as the Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo, Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, ministers, alongside military and top security chiefs.
