Nigerian musician and self-acclaimed ‘’African Giant,’’ Burna Boy, has been nominated for a Grammy award for the second time in a row. Burna Boy’s fifth studio album, Twice As Tall, was nominated on Tuesday, November 24, for the Best Global Music Album category for the Grammies which is set for its 63rd award ceremony on January 31, 2021, in Los Angeles.
It will be recalled that the Nigerian’s previous album, African Giant, was nominated for the 2020 edition of the award but Beninese legendary singer, Angelique Kidjo beat him to the prize.
Burna Boy, 29, whose 15-track album released on August 14, 2020, was nominated alongside Antibalas (Fu Chronicles), Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters), and Tinariwen (Amadjar).
