Award-winning writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has penned down her heartfelt eulogy for her late mother.
The literary diva who lost her mum on the 1st of March 2021, after months of loosing her father, has finally mustered courage to write about the situation.
Adichie took to her Facebook page to express her grief on the loss of her parents in such a short period, as according to her, her heart has been broken twice.
She started by asking the question: “How does a heart break twice?” and describing her mum as a kind, loving woman who went to great lengths to see her children succeed.

Chimamanda also recounted how her mother made history as the first female registrar of the University of Nigeria and her career in general.

She went on to describe how her mum got sick and how it finally resulted in her death; she wrote: “O kwerom edi” (It is unbearable for me).
