Boma was subject of public criticism following his affair with Tega in the Big Brother house.
Former Big Brother Naija housemate Boma Akpore has opined that 98% of married men in Nigeria engage in extramarital affairs. Boma aired his view during the Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ reunion show on June 16, 2022.
“95% of married men in Nigeria have girlfriends, probably 98,’’ the reality TV star claimed.
“I would say things that people are afraid to say. 98% of married men in Nigeria have girlfriends. Who is footing all these girls bills? Almost every married man has a girlfriend. All these girls…all the things they are buying are footed by married men.’’
Boma went further to clear the air on his affair with Tega in the house which generated a lot of controversy because she was married. He insisted that Tega who had separated from her husband before the show told him that she was not martially involved with anyone.
“In my head, I was dealing with a single woman,” Boma explained during the reunion.
