Toke Makinwa argues that women are equally unfaithful as men when it comes to maintaining relationships.
Media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has opened up about infidelity in relationships, stating that women are equally as unfaithful as men.
During a recent episode of her Toke Moments podcast, Toke argued that women engage in cheating more frequently than men but are simply more skilled at concealing it.
She pointed out that infidelity is easier for women since they typically don’t have to invest money, effort, or time in the same way men usually do.

Toke shared that this understanding has influenced her perspective on cheating in relationships, noting that while it’s no longer something that would automatically end a relationship for her, there are certain conditions attached.
“When I say cheating is not a dealbreaker, people think I’m encouraging it. That’s not the case,” she said. “As I grow older, I realise it’s not only men who can cheat. Why do we make it seem like men are special?”
Toke observed that men frequently need to put in resources when cheating, whereas women are typically the ones receiving, making the act simpler for them.
“Do you know how easy it is for a woman to cheat? It’s even easier for us. Men will spend money, effort, and time, but women are just receiving,” she said.
She further explained that when a woman remains faithful, it’s usually not due to lack of opportunity but rather personal self-control.
“A woman not cheating is not because she cannot cheat. It’s probably because she has strength,” she stated, referencing situations like having a “work boyfriend.”
Toke wrapped up by emphasizing that women engage in cheating at the same rate, possibly even higher, than men, but handle it with much greater discretion.
