Atiku Abubakar expressed disappointment in Tinubu’s presidency.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that he would reverse every action and policy implemented by President Bola Tinubu should he clinch the presidency in 2027.
Speaking during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Wednesday night, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential aspirant did not mince words in his assessment of the current administration, stating that he feels “terribly disappointed” in President Tinubu.
When the presenter asked him to identify a single thing Tinubu is doing that he would reverse if elected, Atiku Abubakar gave a sweeping response: “Everything is wrong with president Tinubu.”
Pressed further on whether he intended to completely undo everything the president had done, he reiterated his position, saying, “Everything is wrong with president Tinubu; honestly, in my life, this is the worst administration that I have seen in this country.”
He added, “I feel terribly disappointed. I feel terribly disappointed.”
Atiku, who was once a political ally of President Tinubu, defected to the ADC in 2025 with the aim of challenging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and removing the president from power.

He was among a wave of prominent political figures including Peter Obi, Rauf Aregbesola, Rotimi Amaechi, David Mark, and Nasir El-Rufai, who joined the ADC between late 2025 and early 2026 to form a broad coalition against Mr Tinubu, who won the presidency in 2023 and is seeking a second term in 2027.
Notably, with the exception of Obi and Mark, most of the ADC coalition members, including Abubakar, Aregbesola, Amaechi, and El-Rufai, were at various points allies of Tinubu.
Atiku Abubakar himself ran for the presidency in 2007 under the now-defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), a party founded by the president.
Aregbesola served as a commissioner under Tinubu’s administration in Lagos State between 1999 and 2007.
El-Rufai and Amaechi, meanwhile, were part of the political alliance with Tinubu that culminated in the formation of the APC in 2014 — the same party that went on to defeat the then-ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 presidential election, with late President Muhammadu Buhari defeating incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan.
