It is not the first time bandits are attacking Kaduna
Bandits have carried out several attacks in Kaduna State in recent times.
The Kaduna State Police Command has opened an investigation following two separate bandit attacks across the state that left one person dead, three others wounded, and nine individuals kidnapped.
In the first incident, six farmers were abducted on Monday, June 1, while working on their farmlands in Abashiya, near Iburu Village in the Kufana District of Kajuru Local Government Area.
A community leader disclosed that the attackers initially seized nine people but later freed three of them who had sustained injuries during the attack.
He added that the families of those still held had not been contacted and urged security forces to act swiftly to secure their release and prevent a repeat of such violence.

In a separate attack the previous night, gunmen stormed a mosque in Unguwar Namama village, Kaya area of Giwa Local Government Area, during evening prayers.
The attackers, who arrived on motorcycles, opened fire on worshippers observing Maghrib prayers, killing one person inside the mosque, injuring two others, and abducting three residents.
Kaduna State Police Command spokesperson DSP Mansir Hassan confirmed both incidents, stating that security agencies had mobilised efforts to rescue the abducted victims and restore order in the affected communities.
He noted that the attack on the mosque occurred during the period between Maghrib and Isha prayers, and pointed out that the communities involved share a border with Katsina State, making coordinated inter-state security operations necessary.
