Following calls from Nigerians and Nigerian diplomatic authorities for charges against high profile musician, Omah Lay, and his colleague, Tems, to be dropped by Ugandan authorities, positive results have emerged after a Chief Magistrate Court in Uganda dropped the charges against both artistes today, December 15.

Omah Lay alongside Tems, were both arrested on Sunday, December 13 for flouting COVID-19 rules in the East African country after performing in an illegal concert at Ddungu resort in Munyonyo with large crowd presence.
Both artistes were arraigned before the Makindye division court on Monday, December 14, and were remanded in different prisons for Wednesday’s (December 16) hearing.
