The hopes of fans watching Luis Suarez rival against his former club, FC Barcelona, when his club Atletico Madrid confront the football heavyweights on Saturday, November 21, is slim as the Uruguayan striker has tested positive for corona virus.
Aside the game against Barcelona, Uruguay is set to be without their star man in Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier against five-time world champions, Brazil. In a tweet on Monday, the Uruguayan FA confirmed that Suarez alongside goalkeeper, Rodrigo Munoz and the national team attendant, Matias Faral, all tested positive for the virus, but are in stable condition after showing no symptom of the virus.
