Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba has announced the suspension of permits for tinted vehicle windscreens in the country.
Alkali Baba announced this on Monday, 7th June, during a meeting with senior police officers.
Commissioners and Deputy Inspector Generals from across the states were also in attendance.
The IGP also stated that roadblocks are still prohibited in the country.
He instructed the heads of commands to ensure the ban is followed to the latter.
They were also directed to use patrolling of roads as an alternative to blocking of roads.
