Burna Boy/My Joy Online
It is not the first time the multi-award winning singer will make the headlines for an act of violence.
Nigerian singer and Grammy Awards winner Burna Boy and his crew members are in the news once again for an alleged act of violence on an unidentified man at a nightclub in Lagos.
According to reports, the incident happened at Club DNA, where the victimized man was having a nice time with some people. It was alleged that Burna Boy and his crew members came into the club and broke a glass cup on the man’s head, which made him start bleeding.
It was also reported that the Grammy Awards winner and his crew did not stop at that. They went further to batter the man and he is currently battling for his life at an undisclosed hospital. Though Burna Boy has not spoken a word since the news of the alleged act broke out on social media, many have questioned what might have transpired between them.
This is not the first time Burna Boy will be in the news for the wrong reason. It was reported that the self-acclaimed ‘African Giant’ also popularly known as Odogwu was involved in a brawl with Nigerian footballer, Obafemi Martins, last year in a club. Rapper CDQ also alleged that he was stabbed by Burna Boy’s crew at the club.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy, who won his first Grammy last year is also part of the list of nominees for this year’s award scheduled to hold on January 31, 2022. He is nominated alongside another multiple Grammy Awards winner Angelique Kidjo for the Best Global Music Performance category with their collaboration track “Do Yourself”. The Grammy Awards ceremony will hold at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, USA.
