The Real Madrid star is very much aware of his Nigerian roots.
Real Madrid of Spain defender, David Olatukunbo Alaba, has donated an ultra-modern Biodegradable Toilet Facility to the people of Remo in Ogun State, Nigeria. Alaba who plays for the Austrian national team where he was born by his Nigerian parents, have never forgotten his roots by setting up a foundation aimed at carrying out his projects in Nigeria.

The 30-year-old defender invested a total sum of 13.3 million naira into the project through the David Alaba Foundation. Following the commissioning of the project on Saturday, September 17, 2022, the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, hailed the project and also revealed that the former Bayern Munich star is working towards establishing a football training centre in Nigeria.
“A big thanks for the facility donated by the David Alaba Foundation at Kara Market, Ogere Remo, Ogun State to support FGNs move to end open defecation. David is also planning a football training center in Nigeria.’’

David Alaba is one of the most successful football players in history. He has won all trophies at the club level and is a mainstay in the Austrian national team.
