Danish footballer, Christian Eriksen, has been discharged from the hospital after a successful surgery to fit a heart-starting device. The Inter Milan star suffered cardiac arrest during Denmark’s 1-0 loss to Finland in the UEFA Euro 2020 on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Copenhagen.
Erisken, 29, visited the Danish national team after his discharge on Friday, June 18, and will now return home to fully recover.
‘Thank you for the massive number of greetings. It has been incredible to see and feel. The operation went well, and I am doing well under the circumstances. It was really great to see the guys again after the fantastic game they played last night. No need to say, that I will be cheering on them on Monday against Russia.’
