Teaching Humble Hearts
Being in an abusive relationship is hard because you are constantly on your toes and you wonder what will be your partner’s next action towards you. No one should have to go through that. Abusiveness in a relationship takes different forms like physical, emotional, psychological, sexually or financially.
A person may want to leave an abusive relationship but it is difficult because the person who abuses them is someone they love very much and care about.
But, it is important that you don’t stay in an abusive relationship. So, here are some reasons why you should leave.
Things Will Not Change
You may decide to hang on, hoping that your abuser will change, but most times there is no change. I am not saying that it is impossible for an abusive person to change, but it only happens when he or she admits that he is abusive and willing to change.
You Deserve To Be Happy
A person in an abusive relationship is never happy because he or she is constantly fidgeting and on edge thinking what their partner’s next action will be. As a person, you deserve to be happy and be with someone you are at peace with.
You Are Not Responsible For Being Abused
Many victims think that they are at fault. They keep thinking that the abuse will stop if only he or she acted better, loved more, was more respectful, and more. That is nothing but lies. You are not the cause of your abuse, so it is high time you left.
You Will Get Help
You are probably thinking that your partner will still harm you when you leave which is not true. You will have your family to help, if it comes to the worst, you can get a restraining order against your ex. Also, join a support group that will help you heal.
