Putin is confident about achieving Russian objectives in Ukraine/AP
Putin says the war, which is nearing two years, will end when America ceases to supply Ukraine with arms.
Vladimir Putin has warned that it is impossible for Russia to loose in the war against Ukraine.
The Russian president made this remark during an interview with Tucker Carlson, a former FOX News host.
Putin, who said it is “impossible by definition’’ to loose the war, which has been going on for nearly two years, also assured that he does not have the intention of expanding the war into neighbouring countries like Poland and Latvia.
He reiterated his claim that invading Ukraine was necessary to save Russia from being threatened by Ukraine, which joined NATO.

Quizzed about concerns that he has European territorial ambitions, Putin said he would only send Russian forces into countries like Poland and Lithuania if they attacked Russia first.
“It is absolutely out of the question. You just don’t have to be any kind of analyst, it goes against common sense to get involved in some kind of global war,” Putin said concerning rumours he wants to invade other European countries.
“And a global war will bring all of humanity to the brink of devastation. It’s obvious.”
Putin further disclosed that Russia is in contact with Washington, insisting that the war would only end when the United States stop supplying Ukraine with weapons.
“I will tell you what we are saying on this matter and what we are conveying to the US leadership,” Putin disclosed.
“If you really want to stop fighting, you need to stop supplying weapons. It will be over within a few weeks, that’s it, and then we can agree on some terms. Before you do that, stop.”
The Russian leader also claimed that he “never refused” to negotiate peace with Ukraine but insisted that Russian objectives has to be achieved in Ukraine before a peaceful resolution could be reached.
Putin’s objectives in Ukraine include what he calls the “de-Nazification” of the country, insisting on his claim that Kyiv is genocidal toward ethnic Russians.
