Kelechi Iheanacho has been hailed by Brendan Rodgers for having a great game last night in the Europa League. The Nigerian grabbed a goal and two assist for the Foxes in their European encounter against Ukrainian side, Zorya. Iheanacho led the Foxes attack in the absence of star man, Jamie Vardy (injury), and did not fail to impress his manager.
So yes, I thought we played very well in spells of the game, scored good goals, and their system really tests you. I thought Harvey’s goal was a great individual effort and showed great composure. Madders (James Maddison) being up there and wanting to score was terrific and our pressure for the third goal was really good and Kelechi, he slots it away really well. So, very pleasing, we can be better in areas, but like I say, to start with a win in the group was important
Brendan Rodgers
With the result, Leicester will confront Arsenal in the English Premier League on Sunday with so much confidence, and will fly to Greece for their second game in the Europa League next Thursday, October 29, against AEK Athens.
