Nigerian musician and human rights activist, Falz, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for emphasizing on the rights of the people in his congratulatory message to Joe Biden who has been projected by the media to win the US Presidential contest. Buhari in his message noted that ‘’ Respect for the will of the people is the very reason why democracy remains the best form of government, despite its limitations from one polity to another, and from one society to another.”
Buhari’s post would not go down well with the award-winning artiste as he questioned the identity of the poster on Twitter. Nigerians also called out the President for such remarks owing to the shooting and killing of innocent protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate by the Nigerian Army on October 20, 2020, and the President’s refusal to address the issue.
