A video of members of Nigerian secessionist group, the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), patrolling with guns have surfaced online. The video which was shared by popular Nigerian blog, Linda Ikeji, shows members of the group’s security outfit, Eastern Security Network (ESN), patrol a forest in Anambra State with guns as part of measures to secure the region.
It will be recalled that IPOB claimed that ESN is a replica of the Amotekun in the Western region of Nigeria launched by governors of the south-west to control insecurity in Yorubaland.
However, if this video is anything to go by, the Nigerian government will more likely square-off against the group through the use of military action, and other security forces.
