The candidate of the Democratic Party in the recently concluded US presidential elections, Joe Biden, has officially been certified by the US Congress as the next President of the United States.
Biden’s certification followed few hours after an angry mob invaded the Capitol in protest of the outcome of the elections which saw President Trump loose power after his first term in office. Despite pleas from Trump and Biden to protesters to stand down, violent scenes meant a US Air Force veteran who was part of the protesters, was shot by the police and later confirmed dead.
President Trump for the first time since the conclusion of the elections admitted defeat by stating that ‘’ there will be an orderly transition on January 20th.’’
Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th
