Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has stated that despite the expectations of some people for Nigeria to break up, he is rest assured that Nigeria will remain strong and stand as one.
He said this on Tuesday, at the Palace of the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar, during an official visit for the 27th edition of the Micro Small Medium Enterprises Clinic held in Gombe State.
He stated: “This country will remain one. Those praying for Nigeria’s break up will not succeed because those praying against such are much in number.”
The Vice President praised Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the high level of growth and development in the different sectors of the state’s economy.
On the other hand, Governor Yahaya appreciated him for his visit to the state.
He said, “Gombe State is the center for commercial activities in the North-East which is the reason why it has gained a cosmopolitan status and assured that the State will give the Federal Government all the necessary support to fulfill their programmes.”
While also appreciating the Federal Government, the Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar said: “I wish to commend the Federal Government for the establishment of one of the largest livestock reserves in Wawa-Zange, Gombe State,”
According to the Vice President, the prayer of many for the country to succeed will be honoured, and the federal government will do all in its capacity to ensure that the country stays together.
