Nigerian singer, Tems has been nominated for the 2021 BET Awards in the Best New International Act category.
Other nominees include South African R&B singer, Elaine, alongside British, French and Brazilian acts, Arlo Parks, Bree Runway, Bramsito, Ronisia and MC Dricka.
According to Monde Twala, SVP of BET International, “The ‘Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act’ category was created to award breakthrough talent and emerging voices in music from around the world.
“We’re thrilled to honour this year’s exceptional nominees on the global ‘BET Awards’ platform.”
This year’s event of the BET Awards is scheduled to air Live on Monday, June 28.
Since its inception in year 2000, the BET Awards has continued to recognize and celebrate Africans and African Americans across several fields in the entertainment industry.
