The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has lost a lecturer who was shot dead by unknown assassins.
The deceased lecturer was identified as Mr. Maxwell Aimuen, who was shot severally by the gunmen as he drove into his residence in Isihor area of Benin City.
This incident was reported to have taken place last Saturday.
Confirming the unfortunate incident, the UNIBEN authorities stated that late Mr. Aimuen was a Lecturer II in the Public Administration Department of the school, and has been in the system since 2015.
Although, the case has been reported at the Ugbowo Police station, as revealed by the PRO of the University, Benedicta Ehanire, the assassins are yet to be apprehended.
