Nigerian music acts Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid headlined the nomination for the 2021 MOBO Awards Best African Music Act.
An annual British awards ceremony aimed at celebrating the greatness of “Black music,’’ MOBO awards the best in the generality of African music from Hip-Hop to R&B, Soul, Jazz, Raggae, Gospel, Grime, and more.
This year’s edition of the award is scheduled to hold on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at the Coventry CBS Arena, United Kingdom.
Aside the Nigerian trio, the Best African Music Act category of the award which features 10 acts, also includes other Nigerian artistes such as Tiwa Savage, Rema, Tems, CKay, and Ayra Starr. The list which comprises 10 artistes is dominated by a Nigerian total of 8 acts and two other African stars, King Promise (Ghana) and NSG (a British-African music group.
