The pair are back together and Akon shared what it felt like seeing them go their separate ways in the past.
Global music act Akon has revealed how he felt when he discovered Nigerian legendary musicians PSquare had split few years. The Senegalese-American singer while chatting with Channels Television in Dubai during the EXPO 2020 event said he was left heart-broken and reasoned that their split might be down to pressure in their career and relationship.
“It broke my heart because we are family. These are brothers and they shared the same womb and I always felt money should not get in between them,’’ Akon said.
“It was being together that made them who they were. But sometimes you have differences [between people from the same] family and there are other aspects of it – there is pressure in the music business, there is a lot of pressure in relationships.’’
Akon and PSquare collaborated and did the remix for ‘Chop My Money’ which turned out to be a global hit. The pair and the American-based singer share an excellent relationship.
