Nigeria has been hit by one of its worst flood disasters in recent times.
In a bid to help flood victims in Nigeria, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has donated an undisclosed amount to help victims.
It will be recalled that the Duchess, Meghan Markle, during the last episode of her Archetype podcast revealed that a genealogy test showed that she is 43% Nigerian.
The donation was confirmed in a press release by a Spotify spokesman who disclosed that the Archwell Foundation has given money to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Save the Children.
In the press release, the Spotify spokesman noted that the money would “help provide relief after terrible floods causing havoc in Nigeria.’’
Nigeria has been hit by a flooding crisis which has seen 1.3 million people displaced, over 600 deaths, and 2,400 injured.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a reputation of championing charity courses across the globe. The donation has nothing to do with Markle’s disclosure that she is 43% Nigerian.
