Singer Davido Weds Longtime Girlfriend Chioma

Afrobeats superstar Davido has been trending on the internet for his wedding to longtime girlfriend Chioma.

The singer has been dating the chef for over five years, and they share twins together.

In 2023, Davido said during an interview that his first meeting with Chioma was not rosy and revealed that she ignored him when he tried to make advances.

“I was in a Prado, and I looked behind, and I saw this girl walking. Just there with her bag, it was Chioma,’’ the singer said.

“I told Lati (his aide), Omo, I like that girl; go and call that girl for me. He called her, but she did not answer me at the time.”

Davido pressed on further until she gave in and went on to become his wife on June 25, 2024.

The singer has other children from women that he met before Chioma, but he says the reason for taking her down the altar for marital vows is because “I see my mother in Chioma. I did not grow up with my mother. I can hardly remember what happened when I was that young.”
