The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has on Thursday received the NPF Special Investigation Panel (SIP) report on DCP Abba Kyari.
The report was submitted at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, by DIG Joseph Egbunike, the chairman of the SIP.
According to reports, DIG Egbunike, while presenting the report, appreciated the IGP for the privilege given to him and members of the panel to conduct the probe.
The statement noted that the panel was inaugurated on August 2, 2021, and had since begun the transparent investigation.
“He further revealed that the report presented contained the case file of the probe, evidence and findings as well as testimonies from DCP Abba Kyari and other persons and groups linked to the matter”, the statement read.
DCP Abba Kyari who is said to be involved in a $1.1 million bribe involving Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas, is being tracked down by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to appear in the United States for trial.
