The fashion blogger defended herself from claims alleging she had a plastic surgery.
High profile Nigerian fashion blogger Laura Ikeji has denied claims of undergoing plastic surgery, a new trend that has seen people across the world especially women surgically enhance parts of their body.
The blogger came under criticism from her fans and followers on Instagram who slammed her for allegedly getting a “new jaw.’’ Replying to critics, Laura who is sister to one of the biggest bloggers in Africa Linda Ikeji said she has never undergone plastic surgery, instead, she only got “fillers’’ on her jaw.
Laura defended her claims in a series of Instagram stories post: “Fillers ain’t same as plastic surgery guys naija naija! God knows I am so American for these ppl.’’
“Yo! Ppl are legit mad about me getting fillers like… something that would come off in months. Lol,’’ she added.
“Yo, I’ve never done plastic surgery in my life , many of y’all fave have. Anyhow, In Kanye’s voice I’m here and would be here for a long time.”
Nigerian celebrities that has undergone plastic surgery has come under heavy criticism from fans who questioned their self-esteem and inability to be proud about their body. Reality star Abiri Oluwabusayomi popular with the name Khloe was subject of debate online after she confirmed that she had undergone plastic surgery in September.
