Osimhen will miss international duties due to a hamstring injury.
Reports from Italy suggest that Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen, is set to return from a hamstring injury he secured during Napoli’s 4-1 win over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League on September 7.
Osimhen was replaced by Giovanni Simeone just four minutes before halftime in Napoli’s win against the English giants with initial fears that the Nigerian striker will be out for close to a month.
Tuttonapoli reported that the 23-year-old “could see himself on the pitch for the Champions League match against Ajax…We will have to wait a little longer to see Osimhen on the pitch, with the hope of using him for a few minutes on October 4 in Amsterdam in the Champions League against Ajax and certainly from the first minute on October 9 at Cremonese’s home.”
Osimhen is currently one of the highly rated football players in Europe. Rumours emerged during the summer transfer window that he was on the verge of joining Manchester United.
