The SSC Napoli of Italy man was the standout performer in Tuesday’s tough World Cup qualifiers’ clash against Cape Verde.
Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen has assured fans of the team’s determination to work hard and be at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The Nigerian side settled for a 1-1 draw against visiting Cape Verde to secure qualification into the play-offs on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
Nigeria finished top of Group C with 13 points two points ahead of the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde and Osimhen who scored the first goal of the encounter said: “It was important we made this first big step. With the quality of the players we have, we can go on to get to the World Cup.”
Osimhen and his Super Eagles teammates will know their opponents in the playoff round on December 18.
