Leader of the #RevolutionNow protest and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, who was arrested alongside four others for staging a New Year eve peaceful protest against bad governance in Nigeria have been taken to the Kuje Prison for the next 24 hours.
This information was revealed in a tweet on Monday, January 4, 2021 by Sowore who is being arraigned for seven charges hinging on alleged conspiracy to commit treason, disrespect for the office of the president, money laundering, and more.
The former presidential candidate and the other four were being arraigned at the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, on Monday on three charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and attempting to incite others.
