America’s President, Donald Trump, made history after becoming first President in the political history of the United States to be impeached twice. The House of Representatives led by Democrat, Nancy Pelosi, charged the 45th President of the US with “incitement of insurrection” over the Capitol invasion which saw civilian and police lives lost. President Trump has been accused of promoting violence owing to his claims that the election was fraudulent and stolen.
With this development, Trump will face trial in the upper chamber, the Senate, but that will not happen before he leaves office. The Senate is capable of barring him from ever holding public office again. Following his impeachment, President Trump released a video charging his followers to remain peaceful.
