Ada Eme won amidst stiff competition from 36 other models.
Model and event planner, Ada Joy Agwu Eme, has been crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN), 2022. The 24-year-old beauty pageant who hails from Amaogudu Abiriba in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State beat 36 other contestants to emerge winner at the 34th edition of the national competition in a ceremony held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos State.
Montana Onose Felix who contested as Miss Edo, finished in second place and was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, 2022. Genevieve Ukatu (Miss Anambra), Ifeoma Uzogheli (Miss Abuja), and Lydia Balogun (Miss Lagos) made up the top 5 of the competition and were respectively crowned Miss Supranational Nigeria, Miss ECOWAS Nigeria, and Miss Tourism Nigeria.
Following her victory, Ada Eme now succeeds Oluchi Madubuike who won the contest in 2021. The MBGN is one of the most tightly contested pageantry competitions in Nigeria.
