Tennis superstar, Serena Williams, struggled to hold back tears during her post match press briefing after suffering a semi-final loss to Naomi Osaka in the 2021 Australian Open. Osaka after an impressive win over the American is now set to go for the title against Jennifer Brady or Karolina Muchova in the final on Saturday, February 20, 2021.
Serena who is one trophy shy of equaling Margaret Court’s all-time record of 24 grand slam titles, sparked rumours of bidding the Australian Open which she has won seven times goodbye, due to an emotional farewell after her loss to Osaka, but she was quick to dismiss that during the press briefing.

However, Serena’s mood will change after she was quizzed about her performance against Osaka. She could only utter the words “I don’t know. I’m done,’’ amidst tears as she exited the press briefing.

Williams, 39, has not won any grand slam title since her 2017 Australian Open win which has left her with a total of 23 titles. She has reached four grand slam finals since 2017 (two Wimbledon and two US Open) but has failed to win any.
